Protection Dogs
Bred to train.
Trained to protect.
Great protection dogs aren’t made by chance. They’re the product of elite genetics, the right environment and unbreakable nerve.
What is a protection dog?
A protection dog is a highly-trained, stable and obedient canine who has been carefully and strategically taught to defend people from harm. These special dogs offer 24/7 security, deter intruders, protect individuals and families, and provide companionship – much different from “guard dogs” who are solely focused on territorial (not personal) protection.
We breed what we train and train what we breed
We breed and train only two types of dogs: German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. From the day they’re born, each dog is raised, trained and loved like one of our own. We never wholesale our dogs and rather carefully analyze litters to detect which dogs are followers, which are neutral and which are dominant leaders. Firm believers that only 1% of all dogs have the ability to be true functional protection dogs, CCPD trains dogs to be unbreakable companions and dependable partners who are ready to protect you at a moment’s notice.

Our communication based training philosophy
We believe in the priceless value of trust and communication. In order for a dog to be obedient, they must first trust you – and you them. Electric collars are a forbidden tool on our grounds and rather we focus on a methodology of communication, direction and correction. Each dog goes through a deep phase of learning where they come to understand, and with the right tonality provided by their owner, pick up every tiny cue and command – no matter how subtle.
We never kennel or cage our dogs. When they’re not actively training or working, every CCPD protection dog lives in a loving home environment. Beginning as early as five weeks of age, we socialize our dogs in all kinds of environments that include children, adults, other animals, loud noises, various terrains and all aspects of nature. Simultaneously our protection dogs begin obstacle-course-style training for agility and strength, and undergo numerous trust and obedience-building exercises.
Respect is formed through the lead. On leash, we keep the lead loose to signify control – not tight, which only stresses the dog. Regular verbal communication is always maintained until we reach the point of off-leash comfort. By the time any one of our dogs is sold, it is highly trained to the point that a leash is never needed and the dog is a calm, confident protector who knows exactly when to act.

Premium Protection Dog Breeds For Superior Security
At CCPD, we’ve been breeding dogs for over 27 years. Our in-house breeding program focuses exclusively on two breeds that consistently demonstrate superior performance:
German Shepherds: The gold standard for protection work, combining intelligence, loyalty, and formidable presence. German Shepherds offer imposing physical deterrence while balancing protection with the ability to integrate seamlessly with families, including those with children. All German Shepherd’s are CKC/AKC registered
Belgian Malinois: Exceptional agility and work drive make this breed preferred by police departments worldwide. These dogs offer the perfect balance of maturity and energy with lightning-fast response to potential threats.
We prioritize health, temperament, and a strong work ethic to ensure every dog is capable of excelling in our protection dog training. Each dog’s natural abilities are carefully assessed before beginning specialized protection training, ensuring they’ll become the perfect match for your family’s needs and daily routine.
The three key ingredients
We believe elite, highly-trained protection dogs must have three key ingredients.
- Genetics
The best protection dogs have the dominant, leadership qualities that give them the genetic nerve for this type of demanding, highly specialized work.
- Environment
They must be trained in the precise environments where they will live and protect – home, work, on the streets, shopping, at the beach, in nature, during travel…everywhere.
- Training
Protective training is thorough, precise and acted out in real-life. From car-jackings, to kidnappings, to attacks, our dogs are put in drills that mimic real life situations so they detect true threats from a mile away.

Premium Protection Dog Breeds For Superior Security
Belgian Malinois: Exceptional agility and work drive make this breed preferred by police departments worldwide. These dogs offer the perfect balance of maturity and energy with lightning-fast response to potential threats.
Socialization: Our dogs are great with children and other pets.
Versatility: Whether you're at a shopping mall, an airport, or a local park, your dog will behave perfectly.
Off-Leash Control: Every dog is fully trained to obey commands without a leash.
Stability and Balance: Our dogs are calm, clear-headed, and balanced in everyday situations.
Loyalty: These dogs are not just protectors; they are your best friends. They will go to any length to keep you and your family safe.
Controlled Bite Work for Real-World Defense: Bite work is an advanced component of our training program. Contrary to popular belief, protection dogs bite not out of fear—but with confidence and control, just like wolves hunt for survival. We train our dogs to engage only when a real threat is present and only under handler command.
Our available protection dogs have mastered threat assessment, appropriate response escalation, home protection protocols including perimeter defense, and public behavior skills for everyday life.
