Family friendly protection dog Zena: Exceptional Lineage and Pedigree
Zena is an exceptional family friendly protection dog from our esteemed program.
Zena is a beautiful fawn coloured Belgian Malinois from our breeding program. She currently weighs 65 pounds. We are so excited to have such a powerhouse of a female ready to go to her forever home.
Zena the daughter of Cindy was raised at our facility since she was a puppy and has come a long way. She enjoys watching over the property and soaking up the sun on the porch.
She’s the perfect mix of spitfire energy and power when appropriate, and relaxed cuddle companion. Family friendly protection dog Zena will thrive in a medium to active family. This doesn’t mean she needs intense exercise, but she loves to be involved in whatever the family is doing. She has an extremely sweet and affectionate personality once you’re in her circle. She’s playful and engaged around children and genuinely enjoys being part of their world. She is neutral to all dogs but tends to play better with larger dogs, simply because she loves to run.
When it comes to bite work, this is where Zena’s intensity shines. She is a light switch from calm to explosive power, and she gives everything she has every single time. It’s hard to put into words the differences we see in our dogs during protection training, but Zena makes it obvious. We work bite scenarios daily, and every time we ask her to show aggression, she comes alive, screaming, spitting, clawing, and foaming at the mouth. The handler and decoy always glance at each other and laugh, not because it’s funny, but because they know what they’re seeing. In that moment, nothing else matters. She is fully committed.
